Joint Committee on Specialist Training (JCST)
The JCST is appointed by the SAB to oversee the accreditation of training departments and institutions in Singapore, responsible for establishing and upholding the professional standards and quality of specialist training in Singapore including the evaluation of trainees' training and examinations.

The JCST Executive Committee is co-chaired by the Director of Division of Graduate Medical Studies, National University of Singapore and the Master of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.

JCST Secretariat
The JCST is supported by the JCST Secretariat, which also provides secretariat support to the STCs and RACs.
Specialist Training Committee (STC)
Specialist and Subspecialty Training Committees (STC/SSTC) appointed by the Specialists Accreditation Board (SAB) and the Joint Committee on Specialist Training (JCST) oversee medical specialty training in Singapore.
Each STC/SSTC is responsible for the following within its specialty:
To establish and maintain structured training programmes for basic and advanced specialist trainees.
To provide inputs to JCST and Specialists Accreditation Board (SAB) on the number of specialist trainees to be appointed each year.
To select basic and advanced specialist trainees based on:
Numbers approved by MOH
Criteria set by JCST and approved by SAB
To oversee the implementation of specialist training programmes in institutions accredited by JCST.
To specify posting requirements for basic and advanced specialist trainees in terms of the number, type and duration of postings each trainee must undergo.
To conduct exit evaluations for trainees who have completed their Advanced Specialist Training, based on the format approved by JCST.
To participate in the accreditation exercises for new and existing training units and to make recommendation on the number of accredited training places.
To assist SAB in reviewing applications for foreign-trained specialists seeking accreditation in Singapore.
To assist MOH and Clusters by recommending useful topic areas for Health Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) fellowships.
To inform JCST on any other matters pertaining to specialist training.
