Functions of SAB

The Specialists Accreditation Board (SAB) determines the qualifications, experience and other conditions; as well as the training programmes which are to be recognised for registration as specialists under the Medical Registration Act.

Joint Committee on Specialist Training (JCST)

The JCST is appointed by the SAB to oversee the accreditation of training departments and institutions in Singapore, responsible for establishing and upholding the professional standards and quality of specialist training in Singapore including the evaluation of trainees' training and examinations.

Residency Advisory Committee (RAC)

Residency Advisory Committees (RACs) have been appointed to oversee the respective specialties and/or the training programmes. These committees replaced the Specialist Training Committees (STCs).
